HYDROFORMED STEP DOWN FRAME

S-Electro Stepdown features a double butted hydroformed alloy frame with integrated motor mount and internal battery. The step in the frame is designed for improved clearance during use - easier mounting as well as a more comfortable bike to use in traffic. Hydroforming means that the frame can have thinner sidewalls, complex shapes and curves that makes it stronger and lighter than comparative alloy frames with regular tubing. Hydroforming is the process of forcing tubing into a negative mold with internal pressurised oil and or water, resulting in stronger - lighter tubes. The combination of oversize downtube and hydroforming, makes for a very strong frame.

DRIVE SYSTEM, POWER AND DISPLAY.

S-Electro Stepdown is designed around a Shimano Steps E7000 motor. This motor is paired to a high capacity 630Wh internal battery giving the Stepdown an unrivalled range of pedal assistance. The Shimano Steps LCD display is intuitive and easy to use, also indicating battery levels and shows all info needed for the electric system.

STEPDOWN FRAME

The S-Electro Stepdown's most noticable feature is the lack of a top tube. This design feature is to improve stand over clearance and make swinging a leg over the bike easier, also perfect for people wearing suits or skirts.

ROCKSHOX RECON SILVER SUSPENSION FORK

A Rockshox Recon Silver RL 120mm suspension fork offers great damping and smooth movement with very little break away stiction. The Recon Silver is light, easy to set up for specific rider requirements and the benchmark in this class.

GEOMETRY

Geometry on the step down has been designed with focus first and foremost on comfort, and secondly on pedaling efficiency. Getting there quickly is only fun if you can be comfortable doing it.

COMPONENT CHOICES

S-Electro Stepdown is fitted with purpose chosen commute orientated components. This means that more than giving you the most possible bike for your money, the Stepdown will also offer full system synergy - where the whole discipline of commuting is considered, and the result is even better than the sum of the parts. A 34 t front chainring, and Deore 11 speed rear derailleur is matched to a 11-51t wide range cassette, offering excellent climbing and top speeds.

TUBELESS READY DUROC WHEELS

Duroc wheels are strong and lightweight, and are tubeless ready from the box. Factory pre taped rims mean that you only have to add sealant and valves along with tubeless tyres and you're good to go.

HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES

The Stepdown features Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes for all weather performance.
